The company was founded in 1975 by Nigel Burgess, a renowned solo ocean racer with an obsessive eye for detail and a passion for the sea. Nigel was a pioneer. Edmiston is part of the superyacht story. Along with names such as Feadship, Lurssen, Bannenberg, Winch, Heywood, and Disdale, Edmiston has helped shape the modern superyacht we see today.

When Darrell Hall, Chris Richardson, Kirsten Ringsing and Paola Scalabrino set up the company in 2007, it was their vision as the founding partners of YACHTZOO to create a new evolution in luxury yacht services.
